The port of Metković
The port of Metković is an old trade port on the Neretva River, located 20 km from the mouth. It has been blossoming since 1891 when the Sarajevo – Metković narrow track strip was built. Since 1982 it has been working as a part of the Port of Ploče.
It is able to accept smaller ships, especially those with cement cargo, as it has adequate silos for further storage and dispatch.
