The testing phase of the newly constructed bulk cargo terminal
1
The testing phase of the newly constructed bulk cargo terminal began on March 1st.
This new terminal is one of the most important subprojects, both technologically and financially, within the realization of the Trade and Transport Integration Project.

In November 2006, a loan Agreement was signed between the Port Authority of Ploče and the World Bank, as well as a guarantee Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the World Bank. This initiated the Transport and Trade Integration (TTI) venture with emphasis on the following development projects in the Port of Ploče: reconstruction of the container terminal, construction of the new bulk cargo terminal and the development of the port´s IT systems to the total value of 200 million euros. Along with state-of-the-art technology, the essential features of the new bulk cargo terminal are high ecological standards in the handling of bulk cargoes, which has an essential impact on the surrounding environment.
